Indani Estates began as a long-held dream of its founders: A vision to bring structure, design intelligence, and integrity to Rwanda’s growing real estate landscape. Built from years of experience across hospitality, property management, and design, Indani is a realization of a shared belief that spaces, when created and managed with purpose, can shape how people live and connect.
Gilbert Niyonkuru is a Rwandan engineering and maintenance professional with a strong foundation in information technology, property management, and land administration. His career reflects a balance of technical skill, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Born and raised in Rwanda, Gilbert developed an early passion for technology, which led him to study Computer Science in high school and later earn a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Kigali. His career began in 2019, maintaining computer networking infrastructure – an experience that taught him the importance of structure, precision, and system efficiency.
In 2021, he joined the Muhoza Sector Office for professional training in land administration, where he was later appointed Assistant Land Officer. By 2022, Gilbert transitioned into property management, taking responsibility for his family’s real estate portfolio, including residential houses and land assets. This experience gave him deeper insight into maintenance supervision, project coordination, and long-term property care: Skills that would later shape his role at Indani Estates.
Today, as Head of Engineering and Maintenance at Indani Estates, Gilbert leads all technical and structural operations across the company’s managed and developed properties. He oversees maintenance planning, engineering quality control, and the coordination of contractors and service providers, ensuring every project meets Indani’s high standards of safety, performance, and design integrity.
